Memorable Football Kits: Sunderland 1994-96

Seeing that Villa goalkeeper kit from 1993 earlier this week reminded me that there were some truly…imaginitive ‘keeper shirts around at that time.

Take this example from Sunderland. There’s only so much you can do with red and white stripes, so you can imagine that the designers at Avec thought long and hard before thinking “I know, it’s a goalkeeper shirt – let’s put gloves on it!”.

Nice!
