Who will our “new heroes” be? Let me be the first to start speculating wildly…

Glenn’s got my attention with his “new heroes” bit, and God knows we need some. ‘Tis the season when speculation runs wild, but I don’t see why I should be the person to ruin that so here’s a quick list of 10 players I wouldn’t be devastated to see at the club next season (either on loan or signed permanently), in no particular order:

  1. Ched Evans (Manchester City).
  2. Ryan Bertrand (Chelsea).
  3. Maceo Rigters (Blackburn Rovers).
  4. Martin Taylor (Birmingham City).
  5. Peter Ramage (Newcastle United, now released).
  6. Wes Hoolahan.
  7. Jack Cork.
  8. Martin Paterson.
  9. Freddy Eastwood.
  10. Kevin Phillips.

I think individually they are all realistic targets, but I’d obviously be very surprised (and extremely happy) with me ended up with all that lot.

Let me know what you think…

Oh and incidentally, if anyone can do me a “Heroes” wallpaper featuring selected members of our (new) first team squad for next season, that would be very nice indeed. 🙂

  2. If all of them happened over the summer, I would make my millions at a sperm bank.

  5. yeh there all decent, how about Kevin Lisbie, he may well be interested in joining plus hes got a good scoring record, Steven Carr has been released by newcastle who would be decent to, still believe we need a strong center half though.
