Leicester Preview

Darel Russell finds himself pinned down by Leicester keeper Ben Alnwick. Photo: Steve Adams. This afternoon the Canaries take on Leicester at the Walkers Stadium

The two sides met just three weeks ago when, despite battering the Foxes the Yellows were unable to find a way passed mild-mannered keeper Ben Alnwick (pictured left attempting to make sweet love to Darel Russell) in the Leicester goal.

A few facts…

League Position: Leicester 20th, Norwich 13th.

Last Meeting: 19th January 2008 – Norwich 0 Leicester 0.

Last Meeting at Walkers Stadium: 14th April 2007 – Leicester 1 Norwich 2.

Top Goalscorer: Leicester – Hume (6), Norwich – Cureton (8).

Recently Played for Both Clubs: Dion Dublin, Darren Eadie, Darren Kenton, Trevor Benjamin, Elvis Hammond, Iwan Roberts.

Fascinating Fact: Norwich are unbeaten in their last seven visits to Leicester, and will be backed by the biggest away crowd of the season – all 3,000 tickets available to Canary supporters have been sold.

My Prediction: Roeder’s men will be desperate to put right the 0-0 draw of three weeks ago, and I firmly expect the unbeaten run to be extended to fourteen. 1-0 Norwich.
