Ronaldinho – how’s he for a new “hero” Glenn?

Barcelona president Juan Laporta appears to have opened the door for Ronaldinho to leave the Nou Camp.

Could he be the new hero Saint Glenn has been talking about? He’s certainly got all the attributes needed to be a new Canary hero, and if that’s not all:

- He can play on the left wing in the “Huckerby” role.

- With the proper training he could one day be almost as potent an attacking weapon as Mark Rivers was.

- He looks good in yellow and green.

(Before I receive 1,500 abusive comments and emails I know we won’t be signing Ronaldinho, but we’ve been linked with pretty much everyone else who has been made available so I thought I’d just take the next logical step, and link us with someone worth actually having. )

Week in Review: 12th-18th May 2008. Featuring Man Utd, Leeds United, Bristol City, Dean Ashton, Robert Green, QPR, Cardiff City, Portsmouth and more…

Last week was a very busy one on City ‘Til I Die. Here’s a brief summary of what I got up to, in case you missed anything…

Monday 12th May 2008. We kicked off the week with a Quotes of the Week Darren Huckerby special, before moving on to my excellent day out at Wembley for the FA Trophy Final with Ebbsfleet United. That was followed up with a look at the relegated Premier League teams and what their demise means for us next season.

Tuesday 13th May 2008. Tuesday began with looking at an England squad containing a certain Dean Ashton. We then scoffed at the Telegraph, bit the bullet and congratulated Manchester United for winning the Premier League and fretted over Queens Park Rangers signing anyone and everyone.

Wednesday 14th May 2008. The goodwill continued on Wednesday after Bristol City had reached the play-off final the night before, we all discovered a fantastic new website and it was revealed why Gary Johnson should have been named manager of the year ahead of Tony Mowbray.

Thursday 15th May 2008. We took it easy on Thursday with just the two posts. One about Robert Earnshaw’s impending move from Derby to Forest, and the other regarding Rangers fans’ disgusting behaviour in Manchester after the UEFA Cup Final.

Friday 16th May 2008. Oh Friday. What an interesting day. It all started innocently enough with an update on the Give Hucks one more game campaign and a strangely familiar story regarding Dean Ashton, and then it all kicked off after I mentioned that maybe I would rather Carlisle had progressed in the League One play-offs than Leeds.

Saturday 17th May 2008. Saturday was a blog-busting seven post day (a personal best). It all started with me putting my hands up regarding the whole Leeds situation before I concentrated on the Cup Final. First we had the match preview and then Cardiff’s Road to Wembey, Pompey’s Road to Wembley, the first FA Cup Final I can remember, arguably the best Cup Final ever and it was revealed that 82% of voters thought, rightly, that Pompey would win the Cup. It was a busy day.

Sunday 18th May 2008. We relaxed on Sunday with a reminder about Robert Green’s Mount Kilimanjaro climb, looked at Norwich City’s season in numbers and questioned the sanity of a 24-year old man having his life turned into a film.

All in all a pretty good week I think.
