Today’s Daily Express is reporting that Alan Pardew wants City skipper Mark Fotheringham to help get the Addicks back in the Premier League.
Hopefully it’s just paper talk and the Scot will sign a new contract very soon, but if we lose Fozzy I’m going to start having some serious, serious worries for next season.
So it turns out I’m still kind of sulking about Darren Huckerby not being given a new contract.
I don’t know if you’ve seen that episode of Friends when Chandler goes through the different stages of grief after getting dumped? Well I’m in the “sitting around at home wearing sweatpants and listening to Lionel Richie” phase (which my fiance would probably describe this as my “normal” state).
Which reminds me; I asked her why she doesn’t ever read the blog, expecting to hear something back about how she doesn’t particularly follow football so she wouldn’t get much from it but no, apparently I only “do it to get out of doing real jobs” at home. She’s such a supportive soul.
Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, Hucks. I was doing the ritualistic trawl through YouTube and found what I think is the best goal of the last couple of seasons. Enjoy
P.S. look out for Darren’s fantastic description of the goal. I don’t think he’ll be following Mr. Dublin into media work on this evidence…
Never mind Coronation Street, there’s another part of Manchester where it’s all kicking off.
Everyone seems to know Eriksson is being sacked by Manchester City at the end of the season despite ticking off everything on the “three year plan” in his first season at Eastlands, and now “Big Phil” Scolari has been supposedly been approached to take over from next season.
Am I the only person who finds it all more than a little embarrassing, or is Sven getting a bit of his just desserts after those “coincidental” meetings with Chelsea when he was England boss?
