Are Scunthorpe trying to get rid of Martin Paterson?

According to Sky Sports, the Canaries haven’t made a bid for Scunthorpe United striker Martin Paterson.

Irons boss Nigel Adkins:

Norwich have not been in touch with us at all.

I’ve spoken to his agent and to Norwich, but media speculation will abound throughout the summer.

The reality of football is that clubs try to sign good players from other clubs.

We bought Martin Paterson from Stoke reserves and he’s been a revelation, he’s scored 14 goals, so you have to keep going out there and try and bring good players in all the time.

Ok, so Norwich have not been in touch at all, but Adkins has spoken to Norwich? Something doesn’t quite add up there…
