It doesn’t look like we’ll be making any further signings from Newcastle this season then. I don’t know why but I still had a sneaky suspicion Shola Ameobi was going to waltz through the door and be the answer to our goalscoring prayers, but I should have known better.
David Edgar and Andy Carroll look more realistic probably for next season – although it looks to me very much like Mr Edgar’s agent is just trying to stir up some interest.
