It’s not over yet

Ryan JarvisWell it doesn’t look like we’re going to get that “extra” striker I keep banging on about, but the fact that Ched Evans will now staying until the end of the season is welcome news indeed.

And just when it looked like there was nobody else left to leave, Ryan Jarvis has been sent on loan to Notts County - also until the end of the season.

It’s the fourth time Jarvis has been sent out on loan, and with him being out of contract I’d take a good long look at this picture on the left hand side - I think it’ll be the last time we see him in a Norwich City shirt.

And then there were four

Kieran Gibbs

Kieran Gibbs has become the fourth loan signing in 24 hours.

The 18-year old midfielder has joined on an emergency loan from Arsenal until 28th April, while the Pink’un is reporting that Simon Lappin has been sent on loan to Motherwell.

Eight hours to go. Will we bag that striker?

That’s three in 24 hours

Numbers two and three on Roeder’s list are Alex Pearce and James Henry (hands up who had them in the sweepstake).

Pearce is a 19 year-old defender described on the official site as a “dominant centre back with strong aerial presence and an eye for goal”, has joined until the end of the season, and surely puts to bed any chance of Martin Taylor signing.

Henry is an 18 year-old winger, described as “one of the brightest prospects to come out of the Reading academy”. He’s joined on a similar deal to Matthew Bates (until 28th April with Reading having a 24 hour recall clause after the first 28 days).

So that’s three signings in just under 24 hours. There’s 10 hours left in the window and I’ve just got one question left - where’s the striker?
