And no, not the ex-Palace and Spurs striker Chris Armstrong, the 25 year old Sheffield United midfielder Chris Armstrong that we’re being linked with in the Sun newspaper today.
I’ve used all my usual football contacts (or Wikipedia as it’s known) and this is what I now know about him:
He’s 25.
He’s apparently a tough-tackler “despite only standing at 5ft 9in” (cracking quote that one).
He’s a Geordie…whoa, stop there. He’s a Geordie? Well that settles it then, it’s a done deal! See you soon Chrissy boy!
We’ve also apparently been linked with Ipswich target David Norris today as well. You would have thought the supposed £2m asking price is a little out of our reach, but if it helps to push the price up for our friends over the border then yeah, we’re interested!
